At least 6 injured in Parma building collapse

Rescue and emergency crews from multiple agencies are on the scene of a building collapse in Parma.

It was reported about 1:40 p.m. in the 300 block of East South Avenue.

Canyon County paramedics on the scene tell us six people have been injured and were taken by ground ambulance to area hospitals. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.

The building was under construction and is on property owned by the JC Watson Company, an onion growing, packing and shipping business.

Rescuers say those injured were working on the roof at the time of the collapse.

OSHA is investigating.
