Leaders at College of Western Idaho have good news for state lawmakers. During a presentation before the Joint Finance Appropriations Committee (JFAC), college President Dr. Bert Glandon said CWI is on track to receive full accreditation by this time next year.

He reiterated the value of community college, where credit hours are roughly half the cost of a four-year university.
Dr. Glandon also said the college plans to increase outreach to the Hispanic population.

"It is an untapped resource in West Ada and Canyon County it's a huge population," he said. "It's a population that culturally hasn't been pro-moving to education."

The college is also moving forward on its master plan for a massive expansion in Nampa.
