Investigators with the Caldwell Police Department and the Ada County Sheriff’s Office are looking for Jason “Travis” Simon, who has an active arrest warrant for a charge of sex abuse of a child.

Investigators suspect Simon is trying to avoid arrest and could be camping in the Sweet, Ola, or Valley County areas with his girlfriend, Sarah Joy VanOcker-Dunn, and her three children, who are between the ages of six and ten years old.

Ada County Sheriff’s Office detectives began investigating the case last week when they were contacted by a third party about Simon who provided evidence Simon was creating child pornography, according to an ACSO news release.

“The investigation led detectives to the couple’s home in Caldwell area to serve a search warrant late last week. It appears Simon and VanOcker-Dunn figured out detectives from the ACSO and Caldwell Police were looking for Simon -- so the couple left with the three small children,” the release stated.

Simon, VanOcker-Dunn, and the three children were last seen in the Emmett the afternoon of June 2 -— and are known to have had camping gear with them.

They are likely driving VanOcker-Dunn’s gold 2006 Pontiac Montana sports utility vehicle. The license plate reads 2CJN683.

Police are asking anyone who has seen Simon, VanOcker-Dunn, or the children -- or has any information on the case -- to call Ada County Sheriff’s detectives at 577-3734 or send an email to cau@adaweb.net
