The Eagle Rodeo gets underway this week for one last hurrah at its current location.
Next year, it is moving to a new location about a mile north of Avimor on Highway 55.
After 16 years, the rodeo has grown, and it recently joined the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.
Those developments, in addition to the fact that the rodeo's current location is slated for new construction, prompted the move.
Organizers say they may even host concerts and other events at the new site as well.
