Treasure Valley residents may hear a little more noise over the skies later this month, especially over Boise. The Idaho Air National Guard will be hosting eight F-15-C aircraft from Louisiana for training.

Flights out of Gowen Field will take place between mid-morning and mid-afternoon and head south on takeoff.

"Whenever the Idaho Air National Guard is training, we adhere to very strict noise abatement procedures and so do those aircraft that come here to train with us, and the 122nds will follow the same noise mitigation that we do," said Chris Borders with the Idaho Air National Guard.

The training will provide Idaho A-10 pilots an opportunity to improve their air-to-air combat skills, instead of their usual engagement of ground targets.
