Volunteers and long time members of the Boise Bicycle Project took to Downtown Boise Wednesday to raise awareness of a little known issue.
People formed a human protected bike lane along 8th Street in Downtown Boise.
They say it was an effort to confront a growing problem of cars parking in bike lanes, which can force bicyclists to veer into traffic.
That is something organizers believe is going to lead to an accident
"We are trying to show that the bike lane matters. You know bikers have a equal access to the road and when the access is blocked that does create a problem,” said organizer Clancy Anderson
Organizers hope their efforts curb this problem before it gets even worse.
