VICTOR, Idaho — Officials with the Teton County Sheriff's Office are investigating the cause of a residential explosion that occurred shortly before 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
The agency received a 911 call at 8:57 a.m. reporting the sound of an explosion and visible smoke in the Henderson Canyon area approximately 4 miles west of Victor, ID.
Teton County Fire and Rescue units were dispatched to the scene of the explosion, a residential address near 8000 S 4500 W.
Upon arrival, fire units reported that a significant explosion occurred at the residence. Air Ambulance transport was requested for one adult male with serious injuries to EIRMC in Idaho Falls.
Residents at surrounding homes were asked to temporarily evacuate the area while fire personnel continue to work in the area to determine the cause of the explosion.
