The Idaho State Police has confirmed that one person is dead following a crash on U.S. Highway 20 west of Notus.
The crash occurred just after noon when a white Toyota SUV headed westbound crossed over the center line and collided head on with a semi-truck headed eastbound.
The driver of the SUV died at the scene and was the only occupant. The truck driver was unharmed in the accident.
ISP closed down U.S. 20 and had to divert traffic onto 10 Davis Road and then onto Gotsch Road.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible.
