One person is dead following an accident between a motorcycle and a pickup truck on Cole Road in Boise. The rider has been identified as Aleksander Tymoshchuk, 23, from Meridian. It happened about 8 a.m. near the LDS Temple, just north of Interstate 84.
Police blocked all northbound and southbound lanes of Cole Road to investigate the accident.
An eyewitness tells Idaho On Your Side Tymoshchuk was heading northbound on Cole Road at a high rate of speed.
The pickup driver, heading southbound on Cole, turned onto a side street when the accident occurred.
Tymoshchuk then collided with the rear portion of the truck.
Drivers are asked to avoid the stretch of Cole Road near the LDS Temple.
