An armed intruder was shot and killed by the homeowner on Sunday.
On December 6th, 2015, at approximately 7:26 am, the Malheur County Sheriff’s Dispatch Center received a call of a home invasion at 1390 Washington St W. in Vale.
Deputies responded and found the home was occupied by two residents, one of which shot and killed the armed intruder after a short scuffle.
Names of the involved parties will not be released until notifications can be made.
Police said at this point there is no reason to believe the public is in any danger.
