Revamped Boise skate park could be big draw

Posted

The City of Trees could very well receive a big economic boost once the revamped Rhodes Skatepark is complete.

The construction foreman says the world-class project is on schedule and will be ready for skateboarders and BMX bikers by April.

The skate park was designed with both beginners and professionals in mind.

"This is our proudest work in 20 years," says Dave Palmer, the project foreman for Grindline. "So, as far as the small skate community that travels, this is definitely going to be a hot spot."

Despite the cold temperatures, the crew forges ahead. Sometimes they put up tents with heaters to complete sections of the park.
