After more than a year of construction, the ribbon has been cut on a new Catholic school in Meridian. Saint Ignatius will serve close to 470 children in Kindergarten through 8th grade starting this upcoming school year.
During the ribbon cutting ceremony, the Priest blessed the building with holy water. The 56,000 square feet school is also equipped with a STEM lab and a community garden.
“We didn’t know how right it was until they started doing enrollments, and it just filled up, it filled up immediately. And so there is pent up need to have some kind of Christ centered education for our children in Idaho,” said Superintendent Jim Reed.
The first day of school for Saint Ignatius is August 22nd.
