West Ada Zone 5 trustee Russ Joki has resigned from the school board.
Joki made the surprise announcement at a special meeting of the West Ada School District on Tuesday.
Joki tells 6 On Your Side he made the decision for strictly personal reasons.
He was one of four board members targeted in a recent recall effort.
Julie Madsen resigned from the West Ada school board last February.
