Ryan Robinson normally offers wine expertise at Ruth's Chris Steak House in Boise, but he won over wine enthusiasts in Austin, Texas. He was one of three finalists who participated in Keeper Collection’s 2016 Somms Under Fire national competition. He also won the Crowd Favorite Award, which included an all-expenses-paid trip to Napa Valley, Calif..

Now he's getting ready for a wine auction to help local cancer patients. The Kif Brown Foundation is hosting a wine auction and gala on March 19. Robinson will be on hand to pair wines with food from The Dish.

The auction includes about 300 bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon from California in 17 lots valued anywhere from $280 to $4,000.

One of the most noteworthy lots contains 22 bottles of 1994 vintage California Cabernets; 1994 was an amazing year and this lot is comprised of two bottles from eleven different wineries, including Dunn Howell Mountain, Beringer Private Reserve, Silver Oak, Jordan, and Duckhorn.
