A woman has been arrested by the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office after being accused of abusing a three-year-old child.
24-year-old Lorena Ocampo-Garcia was taken into custody on an aggravated battery warrant after a three-year-old boy was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center with a severe head injury.
Hospital staff contacted police and authorities discovered that Ocampo-Garcia was taking care of the child on February 23rd.
The boy was the son of Ocampo-Garcia’s boyfriend.
Ocampo-Garcia is being held in the Bonneville County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
