Very limited travel is being restored today near Elk City.
We first brought you this story and this dramatic video in February, after a section of Highway 14 was completely blocked by a landslide. The Idaho Transportation Department says a one-lane, temporary road through the slide site opens March 24, 2016 to local traffic ONLY.
Traffic will be allowed through just twice a day from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. For more information head to ITD's 511 website.
