BOISE, Idaho — The Idaho Recovery Open Awareness ride at the Idaho State Capitol Thursday morning filled the air with the sound of Harley motorcycles.
The ride is meant to bring awareness to opioid abuse and recovery ahead of the start of September, which is National Recovery Month. Speakers were on hand to talk about the successes we're beginning to see in offering treatment to people and leveling off the deaths due to opioids.
Just after, the 5th annual Recovery Rally was held on the statehouse steps, followed by a march to Julia Davis Park.
