Setting up a telehealth appointment at St. Luke’s
If you're a patient at st. Luke's, you can have your primary care physician send in a referral.
Their support team will help you install the video platform for your appointment. St. Luke's says their telehealth appointments are for people of all ages, and they've found great success with kids in the 10 year old age range. They are still accepting new patients.
Setting up a telehealth appointment at Saint Alphonsus:
A statement from their spokesperson:
Our office is providing telehealth counseling appointments using two different platforms: vsee or qliqsoft. Depending on the patient's insurance, appointments can be telephone or video. Idaho statute requires new patients appointments to be completed via video.
Once an appointment is made, the patient receives an email that reads: On the day of your appointment, you'll receive an email from vsee stating your provider wants to connect with you.
A. Click the accept invite link in the email.
B. You will be asked to create a user account. You will be asked to add your first and last name, an email address and a password.
C. Once completed, your provider will be notified and initiate the video call for your appointment.
You need to allow camera and audio permissions for your electronic device!
A. At your appointment time, you'll receive a text stating your provider wants to connect with you and asks you to click on the link.
B. Click the link and accept the terms.
C. Allow camera and microphone permission.
D. You'll then receive a message to accept a video call.
Our office will call you 15 minutes prior to your appointment time to verify whether or not you were successful downloading the platform and get you checked in for your appointment.
Signs and symptoms:
St. Luke's also reminds us the symptoms of anxiety and depression, which more people may be experiencing with the pandemic.
Symptoms to look for are increased feelings of sadness, hopelessness, worry, difficulty feeling in control, isolation, and difficulty getting out of bed.
If these symptoms sound familiar, you can make an appointment to be seen by a counselor.
Also, if those feelings and thoughts turn dangerous or more intense, tou can call the Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline. Text or call: 1-208-398-4357
