BOISE, Idaho — This week, you can check out different treatment options during a Holistic Mental Health and Wellness Expo.
The event features more than 20 experts discussing options like far infrared saunas, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, naturopathic medicine, and transcranial magnetic stimulation.
One of the expo's co-hosts says she wants everyone to know there are alternatives when it comes to treatment.
“I want people to have hope; I want people to know that there are alternatives, so many different options if they have tried something and it hasn’t worked it’s so easy especially for someone with mental illness it’s so easy for them to lose hope and throw in the towel,” said Elaine Bacio, a certified health coach.
Bacio is co-hosting the event with Simone Anewalt, publisher of Natural Awakenings of Southern Idaho magazine. Anewalt says it's all about taking care of your body specifically since everyone has different needs.
“Everyone’s different, so I am 100% pro looking at both allopathic and holistic medicine because I think it’s whatever is going to work for you as an individual," said Anewalt.
The expo is free to attend. It's happening from 5 - 9 p.m. Thursday, February 20 at Lake Harbor Event Center in Boise. To register, click here.
