NAMPA, ID — Families gathered to enjoy a turkey meal with all the trimmings at Northwest Nazarene University. They were able to pick up boxes full of food items for Thanksgiving day.
About 200 people per hour streamed through the doors to enjoy the holiday tradition.
"A lot of our guests today either don't have family here, don't have a family tradition, or want a nice warm meal. Everybody is welcome, and you know, we have seen so many people come through today that want to say thanks for the great meal," said Jason Billester, Boise Rescue Mission.
Both the College of Idaho and the Boise Centre cooked 100 turkeys for dinner.
