Update (Oct. 8, 3:00 p.m.):
The Bureau of Land Management says the Trumpet Fire, burning near Firebird Raceway is 50 acres in size. BLM says the fire is "safely contained," but a flare-up can happen at any point. Multiple agencies have responded, including BLM, Star Fire Department, Boise Fire Department, and the Middleton Fire Department. BLM expects to be on the scene all of Tuesday evening.

The Bureau of Land Management is investigating recreational shooting as a possible cause.

Bureau of Land Management has reported at 1:30 p.m today that a brush fire has started near Firebird Raceway, Northwest in Eagle.

The fire has already burned 10 acres.

BLM states that they have sent one dozer, and 3 engines to the sight of the fire.
