EAGLE, Idaho — Fire crews worked to quickly contain a brush fire burning off Highway 16 Tuesday afternoon near Firebird Raceway. BLM crews said the Trumpet Fire burned about 50 acres northwest of Eagle.
Multiple agencies responded, including BLM, Star Fire Department, Boise Fire Department, and the Middleton Fire Department.
BLM crews will remain on scene into the evening.
The Bureau of Land Management is investigating recreational shooting as a possible cause.
