Two in custody after pursuit from Boise County to Eagle

BOISE, Idaho — Two people are in custody after a pursuit from Boise County to Eagle.

The Ada County Sheriff's Office says it began in Horseshoe Bend and continued southbound on Highway 55.

In a press release, the Sheriff's Office wrote, "The suspect vehicle reached speeds in excess of 70mph, attempted to ram multiple citizens' vehicles, and drove into oncoming traffic."

The pursuit ended when Eagle Police deputies disabled the vehicle. Deputies later located fentanyl and methamphetamine in the vehicle.

The Ada County Sheriff's Office says the driver, Charles Burke was booked into the Ada County Jail for the following charges:

  • (F) Fleeing and Eluding
  • (F) Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
  • (F) Aggravated Assault
  • (F) Felon in Possession of a Firearm
  • (M) misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The Sheriff's Office adds Burke was also arrested on existing warrants for, Fleeing and Eluding, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Introduction into a Correctional Facility, and two counts of battery.
Burke's passenger, Kimberly Espy, was booked into the Ada County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
