BOISE, IDAHO — Idaho Fish and Game Director Virgil Moore announced Ed Schriever will take over as the new Fish and Game Director. Schriever will replace Virgil Moore on Jan. 13. Moore announced his retirement in November.
Shriever has been Deputy Director since 2015. He has been employed by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game for thirty five years. Shriever's background is in fisheries, and includes a Bachelors of Science degree in fisheries from Oregon State University, as well as positions as hatchery manager and Clearwater Regional Fisheries Manager at IDFG.
