MERIDIAN, Idaho — A pilot escaped injury after an emergency helicopter landing behind Rocky Mountain High School in Meridian on Monday evening.
6 On Your Side spoke with the pilot of a Life Flight helicopter out of Ontario who says he felt his instruments were getting too hot and decided to land as a precaution.
The craft touched down in an open field behind the school around 8:30 p.m.
No patients were on board. A mechanic will inspect the helicopter.
