Boise State Annual Veterans Celebration
November 10th, 2017 | 11AM - 1PM

Join this celebration in appreciation and support of all the students, staff and veterans at Boise State. The public is invited. Free parking available in Lincoln Avenue Parking Garage. More info here!

 

Marine Corps 242nd Birthday Celebration
November 10th, 2017 | 11:45AM - 10PM

Join Quinn's Restaurant and Lounge for their annual Anniversary Celebration for the United States Marine Corps! All retired, former and active Marines and their families, and all Navy Corps, along with the public, are welcome to attend. There will be special ceremonies at noon and again at 7PM. Marines and family members share their stories, plus Commandant's speech, and the youngest and oldest Marine present have the honor of cutting the cake. More info here!

Veterans Day Pinup Art Show

Swell Artist Collective is proud to present the Veterans Day Pinup Art Show! The term pinup was coined in 1941, referring to mass produced pictures of a model meant for display and people began pinning these to their walls. During WWII American soldiers needed a way to keep morale up in the wake of the atrocities of war. Both pinup models and artists answered this call and thousands of calendars were sent to soldiers free of charge. Swell has tasked their roster of artists with the job of creating their own version of a pinup and the results have been incredible! More info here!
