Friends of the Boise Library Fall Holiday Sale, November 2nd - 5th, 2017

Thousands of gift-quality books, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs and more. Grab a bag at the entrance and fill it with books for just $9! Friday, Saturday and Sunday are open to the public, and all materials are half price on Sunday. More info here!

Ballet Idaho: NewDance, November 2nd - 5th, 2017

Over the years, Ballet Idaho's NewDance program has delved the elemental side of dance and allowed local performers to explore the art of choreography. This autumn, choreographers Phyllis Rothwell Affrunti, John Frazer, Daniel Ojeda, Nathan Powell and Lydia Sakolsky-Basquill create original pieces to be performed for small audiences in the intimate space. Often edgy, raw and surprising, this event of short ballets is sure to keep the audience guessing. More info here!

LED: Waters into Wilderness, November 3rd, 2017, Show Starts at 8PM

LED returns to the Morrison Center for the one-night-only premiere of their newest production. Waters Into Wilderness is LED’s most ambitious production to date. The evening-length narrative work explores the intimate and complex relationship between parents and their children. Inventive choreography, music, projection, lighting, sets and costumes combine to create an exciting narrative structure unlike anything you’ve seen before. More info here!

2017 Veterans Day Parade, November 4th, 2017, Ceremony Begins at 9:15AM

Honor the women and men who have served our great nation in the military at the 2017 Boise Veterans Day Parade! This year's parade will be held on the Saturday before Veteran’s Day, which falls on a drill weekend for the Idaho National Guard at Gowen Field and allows local military units to have a larger presence in the parade. 2017 Dia en Downtown Nampa, November 4th, 2017, 1:30PM - 6PM

It’s the Fourth Annual Dia en Downtown celebration at the Lloyd Square in Downtown Nampa! Enjoy art, music, vendors, tamales, dancing, and so much more! Families are invited to set up altars, please contact City of Nampa first. Community members are invited to bring a photo or ofrenda to contribute to the community altar. 13th Annual Winter Wildlands Alliance Backcountry Film Festival National Premiere, November 4th, 2017, 7PM - 9PM

The Backcountry Film Festival is a celebration of the human-powered experience and a gathering place for the community. Funds raised at each tour screening stay in the local community to support human-powered recreation and conservation efforts, winter education and avalanche/safety programs and to raise awareness of winter land management issues. Spend a cold winter evening at the Old Pen! Staff and volunteers will be giving historical site tours! Or you are welcome to do a self-guided tour and explore the Old Pen on your own! 16th Annual Veterans Breakfast, November 4th, 2017, 8AM - 12PM

The Warhawk Air Museum will be hosting the 16th annual Veterans Day Breakfast! Salute our Veterans over a hearty breakfast and visit the museum’s tributes to those who answered the call. They will be serving pancakes, eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, and coffee, milk and juice! More info here!
