Alternative touch therapy offered in the Treasure Valley

BOISE, Idaho — Snuggling... professional snuggling is a newer form of alternative touch therapy. This new practice and the growing need for authentic human connection prompted Charlotte Lindsay to open her Boise-based professional snuggling business, Snuggle Buddiez.

Lindsay says, "people will go to certain services for certain elements whether it's massage therapy, counseling or things like that, we're just another piece of the puzzle." By the looks of it, some may consider professional snuggling taboo, but rest assured, it's a legitimate business. Professional snuggler at Snuggle Buddiez, Kimber Mannlein calls this form of therapy "self-care" acknowledging, "it's alternative... but there's so much healing that can take place with the power of touch."

Professional snugglers, or snugglists as they are referred too must undergo extensive training and often times snugglists come from backgrounds in holistic healing such as massage therapy or Reiki.

Charlotte assures clients that her services are strictly platonic and any inappropriate intentions from a client or even snugglist are not permitted. Before a snuggling session can happen, there is a mandatory meet and greet to go over policies and have any lingering questions answered.
