C of I football wraps up with Spring Game

Posted

The College of Idaho wrapped up spring practice this morning in style with the annual “Purple and Gold” game at Simplot Stadium. Freshman Colby Brown led the Purple Squad to victory as he rushed for a pair of touchdowns. The offense rushed for 230 yards and passed for another 252, creating a balanced offense that the freshman helped. The Purple Squad won this morning 28 to 14 over the Gold Squad. Head Coach Moroski says although the offense did well, the defense still needs to step up.

"I thought we did a pretty good job. The defense needs to force turnovers in circumstances like this, really any circumstance, and we got a few of those too and we did not turn the ball over in the second half. You have to be able to hand the ball. You have to be able to catch a wet ball. You have be able to secure a wet ball and I thought we did a pretty darn good job of that." said Head Coach Mike Moroski.
