BOISE, Idaho — Cancer. A word no one wants to hear, especially a parent. Easton Brown is a lively 5-year-old boy that just after his third birthday was diagnosed with cancer in his left eye. His mother, Paige remembers how she felt after hearing the news as if it was yesterday, " I just remember sitting there and having him watch t.v and just sobbing... it was just heartbreaking." Older brother, Nolan was only six at the time of Easton's diagnosis, but he was very aware of his younger brother's conditions, "I just felt really sorry for him and I didn't want him to go. I just wanted to stay with him, it was sad for him to have this sickness."

After months of chemotherapy, radiation, scans and blood tests doctors confirmed news the Brown's had been anxiously awaiting, Easton's cancer has gone into remission. For almost 21 months he has remained healthy, happy and will start Kindergarten in the Fall. News of his condition made it's way to Make-A-Wish Idaho. After meeting Easton in person, Make-A-Wish decided a trip to DisneyWorld was just what he needed to live his life the way he should...as a kid, "he was just so excited, I mean his biggest thing that he absolutely loves are the princesses."

A once devastating diagnosis now turned silver lining, one member of the Brown family is especially grateful for Easton's current status, "it makes me really happy because I didn't think he was going to make it. It's awesome that he made it through."
