TWIN FALLS, Idaho — A vigil for Ukrainian refugees is being held Friday night, March 18 at 6 pm in the Downtown Twin Falls Commons.
"Tonight‘s gathering is all about reaching across borders with our hearts and our hands," said Tony Prater, an organizer.
The event aims to provide a space for local community members to band together and show support for those afflicted by the conflict in Ukraine.
There will be speakers, music and Ukrainian flags handed out to attendees.
"What we do expect are people who really do care, have deep feelings towards helping with the innocent loss of life... that’s what I really want; I want people to know that we’re here," said Prater.
Prater recommends dressing warm and arriving early.
"Come prepared to let your hearts flow," said Prater.
Everyone in the community is welcome to attend.
