KUNA, Idaho — The scent of summer is filling the air in Kuna this weekend for the 10th annual Lavender Festival at the Lavender Merchant.
Visitors can pick their own bundles of lavender and indulge in lavender-scented bath and body products, flavored beverages, live music and locally made products.
The lavender plant is well known for its calming effects, as well as acting as a natural mosquito repellent.
The annual attraction is always a busy place, according to Amy Mai, a helper with the Lavender Merchant.
“We’ve had steady business all day and we really appreciate all the support from the community, it’s a great family activity. We also have new this year lavender tiaras," Mai said.
You can check out the festival on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
If Kuna is a bit of a long drive, you can check out the Red Chair Lavender Festival that's happening in Eagle.
