COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) -- Authorities are investigating the death of a man who was found with a gunshot wound to the head inside a parked vehicle in Coeur d'Alene.
The Coeur d'Alene Press reported that police had responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle early Sunday when they found 22-year-old Richard E. Baumgartner, of Hayden.
Officers discovered Baumgartner unresponsive inside the vehicle. He was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.
The Kootenai County Coroner's Office will conduct an autopsy on Baumgartner.
Coeur d'Alene police say an investigation is ongoing.
