Idaho State Police are investigating a two-car crash that killed a 23-year-old Caldwell man Wednesday.
Police say 23-year-old Jesus Gutierrez from Caldwell was traveling north on Highway 55 when he crossed left of the center line. Gutierrez collided with Marci Morrison, 43 from Nampa, before both cars came to a stop, according to police.
Gutierrez, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died of injuries at the site of the crash. Morrison was wearing a seatbelt and was taken to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, police said.
Both lanes were closed for about two-and-a-half hours before reopening.
