Five schools in Nampa School District will go entirely online until after Thanksgiving break.

Endeavor Elementary, Gateways School, Lone Star Middle School, Snake River Elementary, and Central Elementary School will all go to the fully remote model starting Thursday, the district decided Tuesday.

The district says a large number of its staff is out due to COVID so the five schools will return to fully virtual instruction. Students will go back to the same X/Y schedule they have been on during hybrid learning starting Monday, Nov. 30. More information about lessons will come from teachers.

Lunches will be served for students during remote learning. Lone Star students can pick up lunch from 11:15-11:45 a.m. at West Middle School, Central Elementary students can pick up a lunch curbside at Sherman Elementary, and bus delivery will be available for Snake River students who need lunches. That schedule can be found here.

The Nampa School District Thanksgiving break is Nov. 25 through Nov. 27.

This is a developing story and will continue to be updated as more information becomes available.
