9th graders from all over the Treasure Valley showed off their models during the annual CO2 Dragster Championships Friday.
The students brainstorm, design and build their own cars--all with the hope of zooming into first place.
“Mine was a little more complicated than others, and it basically took a lot of work to figure out how to implement the design how I wanted it to, and I was really proud of the final product," said Damon Wargo, a 9th grader at North Junior High.
The students spent all semester working on their cars, but only a few awards are given out at the end--including being crowned the fastest CO2 dragster in the city.
