KETCHUM — The future of the Warm Springs lodged was hanging in the balance after a fire damaged the roof and the interior of the lodge back in April.
The community rallied together to renovate and bring one of the iconic lodges at the Sun Valley Resort back to life and it opened just before the start of ski season.
"We are getting a lot of positive feedback about the remodel," said Gardner Young who manages the lodge. "Unfortunate circumstances obviously brought us to this, but it might have also been a god send."
That's because Sun Valley's original luxury lodge that was built in 1992 has a brand new modern look and several improvements inside the lodge.
"This lodge is Carol Holding's baby and she did an awesome job getting this place back up and running," said D.J. Hart who has worked as a ski instructor for 37 years at Sun Valley. "It is absolutely stunning, it is beautiful."
The lodge features a brand new bar that gives patrons a view of the skiers coming down Bald Mountain, relocating the rental shop made room for one hundred more seats for dining and people now have more choices when it comes to food.
