BOISE, Idaho — As Idaho prepares to manage potential COVID-19 cases, the Ada County Coroner's Office has also been preparing. In addition to the already high standards of death investigation implemented daily, staff at the office have taken extra precautions.
The precautions are now being taken in every area of the office and especially when out in the field, to ensure the health of the staff and public.
With that in mind, the Ada County Coroner's Office says do not feel alarmed if you see a medicolegal death investigator at the scene in full protective gear. The gear does not mean they are responding to a coronavirus death.
The coroner's office has a limited staff and the office is determined to protect their health by all means necessary. All cases are being treated with the utmost mindfulness of possible hazards relating to a novel coronavirus death.
