BOISE, Idaho — We are less than a week away from a runoff election in Boise. Incumbent mayor Dave Bieter is facing off against city council president Lauren McLean in the mayoral race.
The Ada County Elections Office is getting ready for election day. The office conducted it's pre-election logic and accuracy test this week to make sure the ballots are being properly read and tabulated by the elections software.
"We have a pre-marked set of ballots, we know how they're marked and we want to verify that the machines are reading the ballots, counting them accurately, tallying the votes consistently, and making sure that we're ready to go for election night when we bring back everything that's been gathered from the entire election," said James Witkowski, deputy director of elections.
