The number of coronavirus-related deaths in Ada County doubled in 24 hours, according to Boise-based Central District Health.
Of the 470 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ada County, six deaths have been reported as of 5 p.m. Wednesday. That figure had been at three since March 30.
The Ada case count increased by 38, which is the largest single-day increase since CDH reported 63 new cases on April 4.
Health officials have confirmed 18 deaths due to the coronavirus between Ada, Blaine, Canyon, Cassia, Nez Perce, Payette and Twin Falls counties. Ada now has the most deaths.
