BOISE, Idaho — Albertsons is hosting a grand reopening celebration for a newly remodeled store on Gary Lane and State Street in Boise.

The new store will have an expanded produce, deli and floral department. There will be increased selections of organic produce, a hot wing and soup bar and a Meals Made Easy Center. There will also be a private vaccination room in the pharmacy department.

This is the store's first major remodel since it was built back in 1982.

"Been a long time coming, this store really needed a facelift for this area and community, the customers deserve it down here, it's great," said David Gibson, store director.

As part of the reopening celebration, Albertsons gave back to the community by making a $1000 donation to nearby Pierce Park Elementary School. Gibson says teachers who live in the area often shop for backpacks and school supplies at the store for students who cannot afford them.
