BOISE, Idaho — Boiseans stripped down to their underwear for the annual Cupid's Undie Run Saturday.

Jon Munn, a participant of the Undie Run, says, "It's a really good cause, it's fun, and it's an opportunity to look ridiculous, act ridiculous and also raise money for something we really believe in."

The goal of the charity fundraising event is to raise awareness and research funding for neurofibromatosis (NF), a genetic disorder that causes tumors to form on nerve tissue.

Despite the chilly conditions, participants Chris Laney and Melanie Hamon said they had fun during the run.

"NF is a very important part of our life, in that Melanie has NF," Laney said. "We're hoping that this event and all the support that takes place throughout the United States will help bring a cure."

Boise is one of the many cities across the United States to host Cupid's Undie Run.
