BOISE — It's not the news a music magazine wants to hear during this time of year.
We were all down at Treefort Music Festival and I started getting pictures from people--firetrucks outside the office," said editor of Bump Magazine Dustin Lapray. "It was out by the time we got here. I guess we got kind of lucky because we're only two blocks away from the fire department."
Flames engulfed a business on the Boise Bench Sunday night. Bump Magazine sits next door to it. Now the publication is trying to put itself back together amidst the aftermath.
"The smoke spread through all the ventilation systems, so we've got smoke damage and that kind of caustic plastic smell everywhere," said Lapray.
They're setting up a Go Fund Me to help get back on their feet. So this isn't the end of Bump Magazine; it's just going online for the time being.
"Until then, we're just going to try and roll with it. We're gonna post our stories online--we had eight reporters at Treefort this weekend, so we have lots of content that's going to come flowing in," said Lapray.
The Boise Fire Department ruled the fire an accident.
