Raising horses can be an expensive hobby, but a Bureau of Land Management incentive program is offering people $1,000 to take home and train a wild horse or a wild donkey.
When an approved owner adopts a mustang, they will receive $500 up front, and then another $500 after one year. It's a program to help places like the Boise Wild Horse Corrals to afford to take care of these animals.
Another incentive program, called Mustang Mania, partners trainers with wild horses and burros who will showcase their skills later this summer.
