Bogus Basin to host Idaho's Special Olympics

BOISE, Idaho — Bogus Basin is set to host Idaho's Special Olympics for the southwest and eastern regional winter games. Skiers and snowboarders will take to the slopes Friday to win their titles from 5 to 8 p.m.

On Saturday in Garden Valley, Nordic skiing and snowshoeing competitions are on the agenda. The competition starts at 9 a.m. and awards will be announced at 12 p.m.

Special Olympics Idaho provides year-round training and competitions to children and adults free of charge. It allows atheltes to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage and learn new skills with friends and family.
