Boise Bike Project needs your help

Every year the Boise Bike Project hosts it’s “holiday kids bike giveaway”. Kids from low-income families are asked to draw a picture of their dream bike and write a few sentences describing what a new bike would mean to them. Last year, the organization was able to give over 400 kids their dream bike.

With such a successful turnout, this year BBP set a goal with the hopes of granting 500 kids their dream bike, but they have found themselves in a predicament requiring additional help from the community, “the last thing we want to do is say we're sorry but the kid who drew this dream bicycle, the kid who's been having this dream isn't going to be able to have one this year”, Jimmy Hallyburton, Executive Director at Boise Bike Project.

The Boise Bike Project is asking the community to help one of three ways. Volunteer, donate a gently used children’s bike or “adopt-a-bike”. For more information click here.
