Posted

A Boise company is headed to Dubai this week to compete for a million dollars in one of the biggest races of the year.

The race doesn’t involve cars but carefully designed drones or “unmanned aerial vehicles.”

Thrust UAV will be participating in the race using their specialized products including googles that link to the drone which creates a unique racing experience for the user.

Drone racing is a booming industry with a race being held in Hawaii next month.  The prize? $250,000 for the winner.

EJ Duarte who is the founder of Thrust UAV hopes the race will increase common knowledge of the industry and applications of drones.
