A Boise couple has been booked into the Ada County Jail in relation to a kidnapping police say took place Tuesday.
On Wednesday, detectives from the Boise Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit investigated a battery and kidnapping that had reportedly taken place the day before.
Investigators learned that a man and woman –- later identified as Derrick Iddings, 33, and Bobbi Harrell, 32, both of Boise -– had been involved in a dispute at their home in the 6600 block of Douglas Street. The dispute also involved an adult and a minor who police say Harrell and Iddings knew.
“The dispute turned physical and evidence indicates that Harrell and Iddings battered the victims. The victims attempted to leave the residence where the battery took place, but Harrell and Iddings would not allow them to leave for several hours and disrupted one of the victims from calling 9-1-1,” according to a Boise Police Department news release.
Officers arrested Harrell for second degree kidnapping (a felony) and misdemeanor battery, injury to a child, and destruction of a telephone line. Iddings was arrested for robbery and injury to a child. Both are felonies.
No further details were released.
