BOISE, Idaho — The Boise Farmers Market has been ranked the third-best market nationwide and number one in our region in the Farmers Market Celebration from the American Farmland Trust. The Farmers Market Celebration emphasizes that farmer's markets are essential for farmers to sell their goods and for communities to access local and healthy food.
The Boise Farmers Market opened for the season back in April at their Shoreline location, but the process was different this year due to COVID-19. Instead of people wandering around to pick their fresh food, a drive-thru style market is now in place.
You reserve a drive-thru time slot on Tuesday at 7 a.m. and pick what you want ahead of the Saturday pick-up. If you don't want to go pick up your order, there is also a delivery option with a $15 to $25 dollar fee, depending on where you live.
The Boise Farmers Market operates until October, so pick up your fresh and local food while you can!
