BOISE, Idaho — The Boise Fire Department, Boise Police and Ada County Paramedics responded to a fire at a home on the 600 block of S. Roosevelt St. around 10:30 Monday morning. Police say everyone was able to get out of the house safely as crews arrived on the scene.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly and contain the damage to one bedroom. Three fire engines, one ladder truck and two medical units responded to the fire.

After a preliminary investigation, Boise Police determined the fire was intentionally set and officers believe the adult responsible was in crisis at the time, according to a news release. There are no outstanding suspects and charges are pending. The release says the subject is receiving the necessary services.

Roosevelt Street was closed for a short time and is now back open.
