Fire investigators say a fire that destroyed 4 Boise rental units was caused by oil burning in a frying pan.
More than a dozen people are safe, but their homes are destroyed after the two-alarm fire on Davis Street Tuesday night.
Everyone in the rental units at the time of the fire were able to escape safely but 14 people are now displaced. They're getting help from the Boise Fire Department's Burnout Fund.
Five engines, two trucks and two battalion chiefs remain on scene. Boise Fire says one firefighter was treated on scene.
